Today was a windy cold day... but that's no excuse to not go to work on the friz. Today mom and I went back to Pt. Isabel and as you know, this is one of my favorite places.
However, I'm beginning to develope a love-hate relationship with this place... I LOVE LOVE LOVE running with the dogs, catching the friz, and the exorbinant amount of mud puddles and dirt that cushion my expert herding activites. BUT...I don't know why mom INSISTS on giving me a bath and washing all of my good stink away? When will these humans understand???
Unfortunately, I had a weak moment in the car on the way home, and couldn't resist shreding my treat wrapper. Mom had already given me the chicken jerky... but the plastic still smelled sooooooo good! I felt really bad when mom found it, but she forgave me instantly and gave me a kiss. Boy howdy... I'm lucky I came through that one unscathed!

Today mom took me to Tilden... and I had my work cut out for me! There was this pooch who needed some looking after. I herded her back to owners three or four times! It was fun. But I needed a cool down after that hard time at work... I don't think mom was too happy... but this mud puddle did the trick! RELIEF!!

Okay... so I have NO idea what this Valentine's Day thing is... nor do I care. ONLY... I know it's good because it usually means extra TREATS and goodies for me! This year, mom brought home some good stuff. She put out these "bons bons" and a BIG COOKIE for me! She says the cookie is a chocolate covered strawberry... all I know is that it's in my BELLY!
I also got a NEW TOY! Mom brought me this new sheep... it's a perfect shape for our tuggy games, and it says, "BAAAAAA!" when I bite it! It doesn't get any better than this...

So this morning was GREAT! Due to all of the rain... the trails are MUDDY! And as you know, I love the mud... It gives me fantastic velocity in order to catch the ball, and makes running up and down the hills much more challenging... which leads to more fun. Not to mention... the puddles....!!
But what I don't understand...is why the fun must stop? My mom gets so busy... I tried to show her how much more fun throwing my bone was rather than her working on the computer or doing her homework... but she just doesn't get it! Harumph!
